Our new OfficeJet Pro 8710 came with HP954 ink cartridges. Those are not available locally and HP952XL was listed as the required ink cartridge on the HP website. None of the new ink cartridges that we have purchased will work with the printer.
Is there a software patch to allow the use of HP952 ink cartridges? Are HP954 available in the US?
We are out of ink and can't use our printer.

Hi @Tim561,
The HP 952 ink cartridges are intended for United States and Canada, the 954 cartridges are intended for Latin America.
If you bought the printer in the USA and living in the USA I suggest returning to the point of purchase to replace the printer, it should not be delievered wth 954 inks in the USA.
Else get a full set of genuine HP 952 ink cartridges (Black, Magenta, Cyan, Yellow) and contact HP in the USA to reset the printer for your region, be sure to have the printer connected to a computer to complete the process.
