HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 Sign-in PIN?

I purchased an old HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 on eBay, but when I set everything up and tried to sign in to my HP account, it asked for a PIN. I don't know the PIN, obviously. I've tried a semi/full reset, network reset, and everything is reset except this sign-in PIN. I can also access the web admin, but there is no option to reset this PIN. What do I do?

The location of the PIN on an HP printer can vary depending on the model. Here are some common places to look:

If admin (Admin) and 12345678 or the above PIN do not allow login, then get a network status printout or ask Microsoft's Copilot




Do not do the full, or OOBE reset as you may be asked to insert your original setup cartridges which you are unlikely to have and HP does not sell them. Even if you still have them they are likely to be empty.
