My HP OfficeJet 9010 printer keeps showing error code B305ED09 on a blue screen on the display. When this error code is displayed, the printer does not work and cannot be turned off at the power button. The only way to get it to work again is to unplug and plug it back in again. This error code happens multiple times a day. Could someone please advise how I resolve this issue?
Thank you so much.
PS I went out Sunday and bought a new HP 9025e all in one printer but took it back on Monday to Best Buy because it would not even recognize the setup cartridges.  So that is why I am posting this message for help because I am back using my 9010 printer with the blue error code!

Okay…….I did some research online and found a solution on my own to resetting the printer.  I did that on Sunday and have not had the error code blue screen since!  Here is what I did!

  1. Touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the dashboard on the printer control panel
  2. Select “Setup” and then select “Printer Maintenance”
  3. Select “Restore” and then select “Restore Factory Defaults”
  4. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.
  5. Select “Restore” to finish the reset process.

Tonight, I am getting a new error code on my HP 9010 printer.  It is B805E5BO.  Can someone please post how to resolve this issue or how to do a factory reset?  Thank you so much.  I am getting tired of turning my printer on long enough to print something and then turning it off until I need to print again!

I have the same error code. The printer isn't that old and it's only seen average to light use. Besides unplugging it over and over, how do you reset it? And why does it need to be reset to begin with? Thank you in advance

Thank you Joycec52. I just started to have this problem after owning my printer for a few years. I couldn't find an answer anywhere until I found your post. After I restored the factory settings everything has been fine. I've been using the printer for a week and I haven't had any issues.

I am glad my solution helped you as well.  I couldn’t get any help here, so when I found a solution that worked for my printer I wanted to post it where others might see it.
