Hi,
I see this question has already been asked multiple times but the answer/solution has been private messaged to users so I am unable to perform a semi-hard reset as is given as the solution. While I understand this is different for each printer, I do wish the solution was accessible. The manual also doesn't cover this. I need to print out travel documents fairly urgently - can anyone help?
Many thanks

Hi @JPBT9183,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The error code B80B746C on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e printer indicates a critical system error, often leading to a blue screen with flashing lights and an unresponsive power button. This issue is commonly associated with hardware malfunctions, such as printhead problems or internal firmware corruption.
Recommended Troubleshooting Steps
1. Perform a Hard Reset
A hard reset can help clear temporary errors:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the back.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and then to the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
If the error persists, proceed to the next step.
2. Perform a Semi-Full Reset
A semi-full reset restores the printer to its factory settings:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Back (⟵) and Cancel (X) buttons simultaneously.
- While holding the buttons, turn on the printer.
- Continue holding the buttons until the HP logo appears, then release them.
Note: This reset may vary by model. If these steps don't work, consult the printer's manual or HP Support for model-specific instructions.
3. Check for Firmware Updates
Outdated firmware can cause system errors:
- Visit the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e All-in-One Printer series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support page.
- Download the latest firmware.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
Note: If the printer is unresponsive, firmware updates may not be possible until the error is resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
