HP OfficeJet Pro 9012
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello! I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9012 all-in-one printer and Windows 11. The printer won't start and displays a blue screen with the message: B8158376, all the LEDs are flashing, and I can't turn it off. Please help me as soon as possible.

@aci121, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer that does not start!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I can imagine how worrying it must feel when your printer suddenly freezes up with a blue screen and flashing lights—it’s like it’s calling for help. Let’s try a few steps to bring it back to life:

Power reset – Gently unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it’s still on. Wait at least 60 seconds, then plug it directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors if possible).

Check for stuck buttons – Run your fingers lightly across the control panel to make sure no button is stuck or pressed in.

Firmware recovery – If it still shows the blue screen, try updating or recovering the firmware:

On your PC, download the latest firmware for your OfficeJet Pro 9012 from HP’s support site.

With the printer connected via USB, run the firmware update tool—it can sometimes push the printer past this error state.

Try a different outlet – Sounds simple, but a fresh, direct power source can sometimes steady those flashing LEDs.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
