Last week I received a Printer Fatal Error.  I unplugged the printer and now when I plug it back in, the printer gets stuck on the loading page.  I can't access the on screen menu.  I checked for paper jams and repositioned the ink cartridges.  Not sure what to do next.

By the way, I've only had the printer for a few weeks.

Hi @RVandHEIDI,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e is experiencing a hardware or firmware issue. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot.

Power Reset the Printer

  • Disconnect the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and power it on. Avoid using a power strip; connect it directly to a wall outlet.

Perform a Semi-Full Reset

  • Unplug the printer while it is turned on.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it on.

Update Firmware (if accessible)

  • If you can briefly access the printer menu before it freezes, try updating the firmware. If this isn’t possible, you’ll need assistance from HP support.

Check Connections

  • Ensure all connections, including the ink cartridges and printhead, are properly seated.
  • Look for any debris or obstruction in the printer.

Factory Reset (if accessible)

  • If you can access the printer menu:
    • Navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Settings.
    • Confirm the reset and allow the printer to restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
