My HP Officejet Pro 6969 completely reset itself. My apps are not where they were and the emails I had stored for scanning are completely gone. Does anyone know why and how this happened? Most importantly how to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Hi @Eliza05

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

There is restore defaults option on the printer, The reset does not happen unless it's initiated.

The settings on the printer cannot just vanish, so I am unsure how this happened, but I can help you set the printer up.

Is your printer connected to a home network or public network?
How is the printer connected to the device USB or wireless?

What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or an iPhone?

Let me know!
