Glad to hear that the issue is resolved after installing a new ink cartridge. I wasn't sure if replacing the ink cartridge would resolve the scanning issue, that's why I didn't suggest an ink cartridge replacement.

Well, installing the new color ink cartridge is what fixed the printing of the alignment page. Then, the alignment page fixed the alignment issues with the scanner. So I should've been instructed to install a new color ink cartridge right from the very beginning of this thread 2 months ago! 🙂

I have the same issue. I replaced my ink cartridges, the levels are full and the printer is not recognizing the alignment page and I continue to receive the message" Default Print Quality - The cartridges are set to default print quality. Touch OK to continue," I touch "OK and the printer takes me back to the Tools screen. This issue started after I installed new ink cartridges from HP Instant Ink. Please assist.

Hi @Treevinos
Welcome to the HP Support Community. To assist you better, what model HP printer are you using?
Are you able to bypass the alignment and access the home screen of the printer?
Keep me posted for further assistance.
