I have an HP Officejet 4650 receiving error code 0XB8854806.  I can clear it by restarting the printer, but it returns as soon as it establishes connection with my laptop.  I have powered down and restarted the laptop and printer without resolving the issue.

Hi @TomRare,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0XB8854806 on an HP Officejet 4650 printer typically indicates a problem with the ink system. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Restart your printer and computer: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer and computer can clear up any temporary issues causing the error.
  • Check your ink cartridges: Make sure your ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink. You can also try replacing the ink cartridges to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Clean the printhead: Use your printer's built-in cleaning function to clean the printhead. This can help remove any blockages that may be causing the error.
  • Reset your printer: Try resetting your printer to its default settings. You can usually do this by accessing the printer's settings menu.

I hope these steps help you resolve the error code on your HP Officejet 4650 printer.

Take care and have a good day.
