OfficeJet 4650. Printed fine until recently, suddenly stopped printing in color. HP Troubleshooter says everything is fine, all drivers are up to date. However, test page prints in grayscale and there is no where to tell the Troubleshooter this. There is no longer an option in the settings to print in color. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and re-ran the HP Troubleshooter. Same issue. Help?

Hi @NonnaCass ,
Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Barachiel is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
-
In the software program you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print. The Print dialog box opens.
-
Select your product, and then click Properties. The printer Properties dialog box opens.
-
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
-
From the Media drop-down list, select the paper type that matches the paper you loaded in the product.
-
From the Paper Size drop-down list, select the option that matches your paper size. For example, if you have legal paper loaded in your product, select Legal 8.5x14in.
-
Click the Advanced tab. The Advanced Options dialog box opens.
-
Under Document Options, make sure that Print in Grayscale is set to Off, unless you are printing in Grayscale intentionally.
-
Click OK, and then click OK again to apply the settings.
-
Click OK from the Print dialog box to start the print job.
Let me know how that pans out.
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help. 😉

The problem is your instruction #7: "Under Document Options, make sure that Print in Grayscale is set to Off, unless you are printing in Grayscale intentionally."
the "Print in Grayscale" option does not appear, so I cannot set it on or off. That option is completely missing. I've seen others post that they have the same issue so this is not unique to only me. My printer seems to be stuck in Grayscale, and I cannot access the setting option anymore to fix it.
Thanks
