Hello, I hope you’re doing well. I have an HP Officejet 6500A Plus printer, and I’m trying to print some documents. I recently replaced the ink, but the printer isn’t working. It gives me a notification that says, “There is a problem with the printer. Refer to the printer documentation. Error code: 0x61011beb.” I’m not sure what the issue is.

And also here is the picture of the error

Hi @Zaro2

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0x61011beb on your HP Officejet 6500A Plus usually indicates a problem with the printhead or ink system. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Check the Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the printer cover and check the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly installed.
  • Remove each cartridge and inspect them for any protective tape that may not have been removed.
  • Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they click into place securely.

3. Clean the Printhead:

  • Sometimes the printhead can get clogged. Try cleaning it:
    • Remove the printhead (follow the instructions in the user manual).
    • Clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth.

4. Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset:
    • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

5. Check for Paper Jams:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer that might be causing the error.

6. Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Visit the HP website and search for your printer model to find any updates.

7. Consult the Manual:

  • Refer to the printer’s documentation for additional troubleshooting steps specific to this error code.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
