Welcome to the HP Forums @hopuldey,
I came across your post about your Officejet 6600 not detecting paper in the tray and advising you to load paper, and wanted to reach out with my own suggestions.
Check out the following guide and try the steps in order. If the error continues, contact HP to discuss a replacement.
Tip: Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to a wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors.
If you have any troubles with the steps, let me know and I will do my best to help.
Click the thumbs up below to say 'thanks' & the "Accept as Solution" if the issue has been resolved please and thanks! 😄
