Simply, my HP OfficeJet 7110 (CR768A) does not startup. When pressing the power button, the following happens:
- Power light is on
- every 10 seconds, the Cyan cartridge light together with the alert light (!) blink once
- no sounds or further action from the printer
Printer has the latest firmware and no apparent issue with the closure of the door. Cartridges are original HP and full.
I tried with unplugging power cord and replugging but it did not work. Actually, after replugging the combination of lights appears again immediately, without pressing the Power button.
I would be happy to understand what that combination of lights means. It is not described in here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03588307

@eupeptico Welcome to HP Forums Community!
I recommend we start with a hard reset using the HP guidelines mentioned below (step by step instructions)
- Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- NOTE:
- HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Thank you for your reply. I tried this already and it did not work.
The printer does this for one day and then eventually starts. But each time I switch it off, it does it again.
Online it's said that this issue is connected with the latest firmware update.

@eupeptico If you've gone through the link I shared, have already upgraded the firmware and yet the issue persists, this could be a hardware malfunction, and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:
follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on "Continue as guest".
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
