My old HP printer suddenly did not respond any more and upon closer inspection there was a message on the display:
Error message on my 7210 All-in-one Office Jet printer: 0X07d54dd6
On the second line of the display it says: 2005:lib_barracu (UPDATE: SOLUTION PREVIOUS PUBLISHED DID WORK)
I have had this message before and got it fixed but unfortunately cannot recall how. I did search site and found an answer which I tried to do but it did not restart as it should have.
Apparently I need to restart/reboot the printer. Anyone know how to do that?
Appreciate your help very much.

Hi @BobbyPH13,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Officejet 7210 All-In-One printer. When you encounter an error message and the printer won't start, there could be various reasons behind the problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue.
- Check Power Source: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to a working power outlet and that the power cable is securely plugged into the printer.
- Power Cycle: Try turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for about 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Turn the printer on again to see if the error message persists.
- Error Message: Take note of the exact error message displayed on the printer's screen. The specific error message can provide valuable information about the problem.
- Check Ink or Toner Cartridges: If the error message is related to ink or toner cartridges, ensure they are installed correctly and that there's enough ink or toner remaining. Replace any empty or low cartridges.
- Clear Paper Jams: If the error is due to a paper jam, carefully open the printer and remove any jammed paper. Make sure there are no torn pieces of paper left inside.
- Reset Printer: Perform a reset on the printer. The steps for resetting the printer can vary, so check the printer's manual or HP's support website for specific instructions.
- Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can find firmware updates on the HP support website.
- Check for Obstructions: Inspect the printer for any physical obstructions that might be preventing its normal operation.
- Disconnect from PC: If the printer is connected to a computer, disconnect the printer from the PC and try using it as a standalone device. This can help identify whether the issue lies with the printer or the computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
