Hello,
As a company, we are standardising over 150 sites on the new HP 8720 Officejet Pro printer.
We have ordered about 8 from our Online Retailer recently (Softcat) and each and every one has arrived with a European 2 prong power cord, and not a UK 3-prong power cord.
This is causing major confusion for our end users, and I think it's illegal to even supply goods in the EU without the correct national power cord.
Our retailer are saying that HP have cocked up and shipped loads of these 8720's without the correct power cords. This seems a massive oversight on HP's part and illegal too ? How can this happen ?
Surely all stock of the 8720's should be constrained for the UK market and fixed with the right power cord ?
I've not reported this to Trading Standard yet, but I just want to get some idea of what's going on ???
Thanks,
H
