HP Officejet Pro 8100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Officejet Pro 8100 suddenly prints only edges of pictures.  Have Windows 10 on Dell PC.  Printer OK with Word Documents, Excel spreadsheets, full-color scans routed from separate HP scanner.  I uninstalled printer drivers and software, unplugged printer, installed latest available 8100 printer driver/software from HP; problem still there.  Usual test pages look normal, HP diagnostic app says everything OK.  Then next page prints only a wide black bar at the top.

 I'd like to help!

 

To better assist you - 

 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page 

  1. Load plain white paper into the paper tray.

  2. Press the Power button () to turn on the product, if it is not already on.

  3. Press and hold the Power button () while you perform the following button presses:
    1. Press the Cancel button (seven times.

    2. Press the Resume button (two times.

  4. Release the Power button (). The Print Quality Diagnostic Page prints.

 

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

No help.  Printer just printed out a page saying no web connection.  But I am not routing things through the web, just from a file in my documents to the printer.  Works ok for single print of one picture on one page IF I FIRST START THE PAINT3D APP, THEN SELECT ONE SPECIFIC PICTURE, THEN OPEN IT.   But using this method I have no control of how many copies, or whether I want to print more than one picture on the same sheet, or the quality of the paper or printer speed.
