Today I have a flashing keypad and an error that says "Printer Error - Please turn printer off and then on" and when I do that I receive an "Improper Shutdown" message before it returns to the Printer Error screen again.   I've also unplugged the printer and removed the ink cartridges per a past post resolution.   Any help avaiable?

I understand you have a false paper jam error, make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Paper Jam Error

 

The advanced reset will only work if you are able to bypass this error and access the home screen of the printer. if not, you will not able to perform the reset.

I don't get a paper jam error.  I get an "improper shutdown error".   Any thoughts on getting that cleared?
