The Virtual Assistant only offered suggestions I've already attempted... I've spent about 15 hours attempting to fix so far. Any other suggestions are welcome.

 

Printer reflected ink low so changed cartridge

 

Printer insists one new full 951 cartridge (exp 11/2025) and one new full 951xl (exp 10/205) cartridge is empty

 

Printer now says there is a problem with the printer or ink system.

 

I have now repeated all of the suggestions in HP Official Support, HP Support Community and several suggestions found in youtube videos.

 

unplugged cord at back of printer and wall for 60 seconds multiple times

unplugged cord at back of printer and wall for 60 seconds and plugged in while holding the power button multiple times

removed and reseated print cartridges multiple times

removed and reseated printhead multiple times

 

Printer STILL says there is a problem with the printer or ink system.

 

tried to navigate to hidden support menu to reset using sequences:

back, home, back, back

back, back, back, back

hold power/cancel

 

Printer STILL says there is a problem with the printer or ink system.

 

Pulled print cartridges out, & closed door to bypass error screen and access install cartridges setup menu

 

Printer STILL says there is a problem with the printer or ink system.

 

Reinstalled drivers…

I have tried contacting HP via Virtual Support  to resolve as no-one has responded to this post from July. Chat bot keeps leading to my own post and other similar issues. I have now manually cleaned the printhead 3x and powered on and off at least 30x. reinstalled drivers and firmware. Still cannot get past the error message: "There is a problem with the printer or ink system" to get to a reset menu.
