HP Officejet Pro 8620

For nearly 4 years we own a HP Officejet Pro 8620 and had been printing perfectly until 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I installed a new original black ink-cartridge and printing went smudgy. Cleaning the printheads, including the deep clean, did help a bit. After a few prints the printer gave error 0xc19a0013 (printhead missing, broken or incompatibe) and I can't get rid of it. Ir tried removing the printhead several times like stated on the supportpages, did some unplugging of the powercord but no luck.

I could use some help in fixing my problem and I'm not yet willing te replace the prinhead wich costs about € 125,--. On the other side I'm not yet willing to give up this printer because I just installed a full new set of cartridges of € 80,-- and had already ordered some spare for another € 80,--.

We don't print much, in almost 4 years this printer only printed 1400 pages and a broken printhead after this few prints should not happen.

This printer is equiped with firmwareversion: FDP1CN1910AR and had serialnumber: CN528EK14Z.

Your support is appreciated.

Hello,

Could you check if there is any paper stuck near cartridge area ( far right ).

Also try reseating the Printhead with cartridges for 3 times.

Eg, When printer is ON, wait untill cartridges move to its area.

while the cartridges are still installed in the printhead, Push the latch up and then pull the printhead out.

wait for 5 seconds and the install the printhead and ensure to push the latch down.

Close the cartridge access door. If issue still persists, its time to go for a new printer.

Regards,
Jabzi
