macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hello, I suddenly have gotten the error message that printhead is missing, not detected or incorrectly installed on my 8620. I have never previously had this issue and the printer has been extremely reliable. I have followed the three steps of troubleshooting on this page: https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/ish_1739881-3260827-16

I still get the error message. 

I do not want to buy a new printer, as I have $200+ worth of 950-951 ink.

What do I do?

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting a printhead error and you have tried all the troubleshooting steps.

This seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
