HP Officejet Pro X476dw MFP

At a customer site trying to sort out problems with their HP Officejet Pro X476dw MFP. Device is not new and warranty has expired.

I can access the web interface, but not most of the content. Keeps prompting for password.

I have tried admin / <blank>

I have accessed the hidden service menu and done a FULL factory default (had to wait 22 minutes afterwards for it to initialize).

It picked up an APIPA IP address, so re-applied the IP address and still had the problem.

Did a network reset, it said it would reset the EWS password, so again, I applied the IP address, can get to the web interface, but not access any of the configuration. Still won't accept admin / <blank>

Have also updated the firmware to the latest version.

I have Google searched for a default password and checked the manual. As far as I can see, it should be admin / <blank>

Can anyone assist?

I have tried the Restore Network Defaults option again since posting above. In the Default Network Defaults section, you have the message:

-----------------------------

Are you sure you want to restore the printer's original network settings?

Network settings (including proxy settings), and the administrator password for the embedded web server (EWS), will be reset.

-----------------------------

So I confirmed the reset, the IP address was knocked out, I re-applied it, access the web interface and still won't accept admin / <blank>

WHAT IS THE DEFAULT ADMIN PASSWORD???

I still don't have an answer to this and need to get back to the customer.

I confirm that the device has been fully factory defaulted, yet I don't know the admin password.

Surely someone out there must know!

Anyone?

Also have no idea what the PIN is on the control panel on the device.

Hey there, did you ever get the default password.  I am having the same trouble you had.
