HP PHOTOSMART 7510 ALL-IN-ONE has the black XL cartridge installed but the print out doesn't show black, is it because I need to have the small black installed as well? I can't find the small cartridge sold in stores anymore. Please help, Thanks

You will need to have all cartridges installed.  If the photo cartridge has been removed for a significant length of time the printhead is likely clogged.  HP Recommends not leaving a cartridge out of the printer for longer than 30 minutes.

The cartridge on the left end, the same size as the color cartrdiges, is the Photo cartridge, not the Black cartridge.  You can buy it in the store or from HP or others online.

The "bow tie" cartridge is called the Photo cartridge.

The 564 black cartridge has a pentagon on the cartridge but a circle on the box....  The Photo cartridge has a bow tie on the cartridge and a camera on the box.

The document here may help  It is available in the standard or XL size.
