Hi @LEROUX123
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 is displaying a message that the print cartridge cannot move, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
1. Check for Obstructions:
- Open the printer cover and look for any foreign objects or paper jams that might be blocking the print cartridge. Remove any obstructions you find.
2. Ensure Proper Installation:
- Make sure the print cartridges are correctly installed. Remove them and reseat them to ensure they are making proper contact.
3. Check for Jammed Paper:
- Look for any jammed paper in the paper path. Check the input tray, output tray, and inside the printer.
4. Reset the Printer:
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
5. Inspect the Cartridge Holder:
- With the printer powered on, gently push the cartridge holder to the right and left to see if it moves freely. If it feels stuck, there might be a mechanical issue.
6. Check for Firmware Updates:
- If possible, check for firmware updates using the HP Smart app or the HP website. Sometimes, updates can resolve issues.
7. Perform a Printer Reset:
- To reset the printer, press and hold the Cancel button and the Wireless button at the same time for about five seconds.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
