HP PageWide Pro MFP 477dw

My HP Pagewide 477dw has started showing a blue screen with error code 0005FBB6.  I have tried to restart the printer, changing the power cord, attaching directly to the wall socket, and almost all the solutions available online but still no resolve.

Initially, it started saying that ink cartridges are empty while these are all full

I tried to reset it and then it started showing the blue screen

Hello,

Error code 0005FBB6 indicates that due to a failure of the ink system, your unit will also be unable to print, scan or copy any type of document.

In some cases, remove the ink cartridges and reset the printer can solve the error.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Before continuing, wait until the printer is idle and silent.
  3. Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
  4. Remove the ink cartridges of the printer.
  5. With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  6. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  7. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
NOTE:  HP then recommends reconnecting the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet.
  8. Plug the power cord to the back of the printer.
  9. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically make it.
It is possible that the printer goes through a warm-up cycle. It is also possible that the printer lights blink and the carriage moves.
  10. Wait until the preheat cycle and until the printer is idle and silent before continuing.
  11. Reinsert the ink cartridge, and then close the access door to the cartridges.
  12. Print a calibration page, if prompted.
  13. If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the back of the product.
  14. Try to print.

If the problem persists, please update the printer firmware using the USB cable connection via the HP link below.

Hi,

Thank you for your message.  Although I already had performed those steps, I did it again exactly as you mentioned but still the same problem.  Regarding the firmware update, the utility does not detect the printer at all.  The printer is connect with the computer thorough USB cable.

The printer WiFi AP is available and I can connect HP Smart app with the AP but it does not work any further.

Any clue?

Thanks.
