I read about the ink cartridge error message your Photosmart 5510 is displaying and wanted to reach out to help. Please see the link below to troubleshoot through the issue. If you find the error still there, then please call phone support to discuss replacing the printer.
Hit the "Accept as Solution" if we've reached a solution, and the "thumbs up" to say thanks for my help.
Contact HP:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear

I had this problem which I could not solve. All the ink was HP & new. I turned the printer off and unplugged it for at least 30 seconds. i plugged it in and turned it on. It took a while to boot up completely,but the problem was solved and the printer responded as it was supposed to.
