I have been able to scan for months, now cannot. It appears that there is a fix, but it is not posted publically. Can you please send it to me?

Hello @Jibberdee ,
Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that your are having a problem with the scan to email feature on your Photosmart 7520.
I would like to help.
The first thing to try is a manual DNS.
The following link will take you to a post, by happytohelp01, that has detailed instructions and pictures to set the manual DNS. The instructions are for a Photosmart 7510, but the steps will be the same.
Efax 7510 still won't work after turning off/on ePrint several times
If that does not get the scan to email working try removing then enabling web services.
WARNING: If you printer has a customised ePrint address, this will cause the printer to loose the address.
Not for 6 months or a year, forever. It will also wipe the scan to email settings. Any save email addresses and pin numbers will be lost.
To remove web services touch the ePrint icon on your printers display.
Then go into the Settings sub menu and choose Remove Web Services.
This will bring you back to the printers main menu.
Touch the ePrint icon again.
You will be prompted to enable the web services.
Once this is done a page will print.
This can be used to add the printer back to your HP connected account.
The next step is to set up the scan to email again.
During this process you will be given a new pin.
Test the scan to email.
I hope this helps. If you need further assistance please let me know.

I tried the first two solutions (turning off and on router and printer, and entering numbers for manual DNS), and I still get the "Unable to connect to Web Services" message. The eprint icon brings up the same after I "accept" web services and enable automatic updates. The message says: "Unable to connect to WEb Services. Confirm Internet access and try again or enter a proxy address." I've confirmed the Internet access which is fine. What now?
