Product: HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

My printer (less than 1 yr old) is not great - print quality is poor, and any print activity that is not pugged directly into the printer is unbelievably slow. I'm troubleshooting and the virtual assistant is also not great. Trying to update the firmware, the link for download is unresponsive - does anyone have any advice on this?

There seems to be no way to reach out to HP tech support (other than virtual assistant)

  • Check Printer Connectivity: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network if you’re using wireless printing. Poor network connectivity can impact print speed and quality.
  • Update Firmware via HP Smart: Sometimes, using the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device can be more reliable for updating firmware. Make sure you have the latest version of the app and try updating the firmware through it.
  • Download Firmware Directly: If the link for the firmware download is unresponsive, try accessing the HP support site through a different browser or clearing your current browser’s cache. You can also try searching for the firmware update for the HP DeskJet 2755e directly on the HP support page.
  • Printer Maintenance: Run a printer maintenance cycle to clean the print heads and calibrate the printer. This can often improve print quality. Look for options in the printer's settings menu or HP Smart app.
  • Reinstall Printer Software: Uninstall and then reinstall the printer software on your computer. This can sometimes resolve issues with slow performance and connectivity.
