@Souper120, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the E1 error!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The "E1" error on the HP Envy 6055 printer typically indicates a paper jam or an issue within the printer's paper path. Here are some detailed steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Check for paper remnants: Even after removing the paper jam, small pieces may still be stuck inside the printer. Open the printer's access doors and remove any visible paper or fragments carefully.

Inspect the paper path: Ensure that the paper path is clear and no debris or obstruction is blocking it. You might need to open any doors or parts designed for user access to inspect these areas.

Reset the printer: If you haven't done this already, turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Power it on to see if the error persists.

Check paper settings: Ensure that the paper size and type settings match the paper loaded in the tray. Incorrect settings can sometimes trigger error messages.

Check the control panel: Follow any prompts or instructions on the control panel that may assist in resolving the error message.

Reload the paper correctly: Ensure that the paper is loaded properly in the input tray and that the paper guides are adjusted correctly according to the paper size.

Firmware updates: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date as updates can sometimes resolve error codes.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
