I just changed the ink in my HP 80525e for the first time, after putting in the new cartridges it won't work. The screen is solid blue and has what appears to be a picture of the on/off button. I have unplugged it 3 times in an effort to reboot, same screen every time. *The Blue screen has this error message # 024A493F

@Bassace123
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

Hi @Bassace123,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error message you're seeing on your HP Pro 8025e printer indicates a problem with the firmware or hardware. The blue screen with the error code #024A493F suggests that there might be a firmware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.
Restart the Printer: Unplug the printer from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This is a basic step to attempt a soft reset of the printer.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait for about a minute.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Update Firmware:
- Go to the HP support website (https://support.hp.com/).
- Enter your printer model (HP Pro 8025e).
- Check for firmware updates and download the latest version if available.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges you replaced are compatible and properly installed.
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are seated correctly.
Factory Reset:
- As a last resort, you can try a factory reset to return the printer to its default settings.
- Consult your printer's user manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Be aware that this will erase all customized settings.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a more serious hardware problem with the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
