Hi i have resolved this issue. I spoke with apple and they got me to create an additional user account and to reboot into safe mode on the M1 mac desktop. Logged in and tried printing various docs with images which resolved it somehow.

Rebooted the mac and logged in normally and printed the same docs which worked. Thansk

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

This sounds more of an application issue to me as you're able to print from other applications.

Are you able to print images from a browser?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft Office.

Let me know if this helps.

HI there

thanks for the suggestions I uninstalled all my MS applications  and Apple office apps eg pages etc but this problem is across all these apps and cannot print emails which has images in them so there is a problem of some description dn the I'm am unable to resolve for this machine. and re installed them but t I am having the same issues on my iMac. I have reinstalled the office suite of applications and tried printing again but it still messes up the pictures in the document. I am not sure if you have been able to see the jpegs I uploaded at all so anything text based prints fine but generally when it try to print a doc with an images in it messes the image up or prints half a page. I added a file which is JPEG but not sure if you can see this ,

I can print ok from my 2015 MacBook Pro it would seem without issue but not this brand spanking new iMac ! although I must admit ii had the same issue with my old iMac.

If you are able to print from other devices, it means the printer is working fine. This could be an issue with the macOS. Have you tried contacting Apple Support for assistance?
