HP Smart Tank Plus 570

Hello,

I have just bought a HP Smart Tank Plus 570 printer.

I installed the printer on a desktop computer, working on Windows 10, in USB mode.

I am facing the following trouble :
- from the PC, when I require the scanning of a document, it works properly
- but when I try to print a document the document does not print and remains in the queue indefinitely

Of course, I tried to delete the waiting document and try to print another one. But the new one goes to the queue.

I also tried to uninstall and re-install the printer, but it changed nothing.

What would you suggest to solve the matter ?

I uninstalled everything from HP previously installed on my computer

 

Then, I installed the "next driver" (from your link)

 

Everything seemed to install properly.

 

At the end :
When I run a document scan from the PC, it works.
But when I try to print any document : nothing happens (with no error message)
(the document not even goes to the document printer waiting)

 

Once again :
I used the Windows Printer Troubleshooter: no problems found.
I used the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool for Windows for the only HP printer found ("HP Smart Tank Plus 570 series PCL-3") and for this printer : no problems found. (but nothing is printed at the end of the process)

 

I also tried every USB port (5 in total) of my computer.
I also tried another USB cable

 

What could I do ?

On this first PC, the printer installation seemed to go smoothly, with no error messages.
But after installation, the request to print a file does not cause any action, or even noise, from the printer.


The Windows Printing Troubleshooter does not find any errors.
Likewise, the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool does not find any errors.


On the other hand, the scan request works correctly.

 

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer several times with the same result.

 

2- I have three other desktop PCs, with the same Windows version and same Build, as the first PC.

On these three PCs, the installation of the printer also takes place without problems, but the request to print a file allows the actual printing of the document.


I used the same USB cable to install on all four printers.

 

Previously, on the first PC there was a Canon TS8350 printer which worked correctly (with the same USB cable).

 

For all four PCs, I used the same installation file provided by the FerRX link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ST570/basic/Basic_Webpack_x64-50.2.4593-ST570_Bas...

 

Do you know what could be the reasons for the first PC not working?

I tried to work around the problem by installing the printer on PC2, and sharing the printer.

I added printer sharing on PC1.
So it is possible to print from PC1

 

However, since PC1, I encounter the following problem:
- printing a Notepad file (very short, only 3 words) displays the following error: "Page too small to print one line. Try printing using smaller font"
- printing a file from another application only prints in one corner of an A4 page (even though the printer's default print settings are correct)

- if I request a preview before printing, then I start printing, the printing is done on the entire A4 page, but two blank pages follow the output of the printed page

 

How to avoid this problem?
