HP Officejet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had the same printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 and Windows 10 laptop through several changes of in Internet providers and WiFi routers.  My printer is only connected via WiFi.  As a result I have numerous HP Officejet Pro 8600 printers in my HP Smart printer list that show offline.  I do have one that is currently working but I would like to remove the others that show offline.  They probably have incorrect printer hostnames or invalid IP addresses.  However the Forget Printer feature is not working for me.  The user account I use everyday with these extra configurations does not have administrative privilege.   My admin account only sees the one printer that is online and working.  It doesn't see the bad printer configurations.

As a result HP Smart can't Forget Printer due to the bogus printer selections.

Suggestions?  What can I do to remove these extra printer configurations?

@GE_Jim,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

As you have mentioned that you do not have administrative privileges on the user account you are using that might be the reason why you are unable to remove those printers.

Do you have privileges to uninstall the HP smart app on the user account? If yes, then I recommend you uninstall the smart app and reinstall on that user account and check.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
