Hi,

 

When using HP Smart app on iPhones I get an error stating "Tray Empty or Open". The main tray has paper and is closed.

 

I have no such problems when not using the HP Smart app ... if I select "Print" rather than "Print with HP Smart" I have no problem with trays empty or open?

 

Can anyone help?

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App and see if that helps?
