I am trying to use my HP Solution center this AM and all I see is a f and i. it will not allow me to open the program any further. Does any one know what this means

Good evening.  I just found out from my son that this is an Adobe Flash error.  Adobe Flash was discontinued today so it no longer works for the Solution Center.  I don't know a fix for it though.

Thanks for the intel on the Adobe Flash error...you saved me hours of frustration.   I was able to work around the loss of HP Solution Center by making a shortcut to the printer on my desktop by going to the Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers, then right click and "create shortcut".  Once you have that on your desktop you can open up the printer there and you will have almost all your functionality that way.
