Envy 6000
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My Envy 6000 printer is connected to my PC (Win 7 x64) wirelessly. The HP Assistant states there is an update; however, when HP Easy Start is running, it wants me to enter my printer pin, which upon entering it rejects as invalid, despite my knowing it is 100% correct.

Shlomi responded, “Please make sure you type the correct PIN code as listed on the internal label within the ink cartridge access door, if it is rejected print and evaluate a Printer Status Report, the Printer Pin is listed within the Connectivity Settings section of the report”.

I responded, “Thank you for your response. The printer status report shows exactly the same pin as that inside the printer and that I typed in. I have tried to install this software four times and each time my pin is rejected. On the last occasion, I rebooted my PC and disabled my antivirus software to see if it would make a difference, but alas nothing”.

If anybody can help me resolve this issue, I would really appreciate it.
