Both the ink carriage door and information lights were solid amber, so I opened the door and saw both of the cartridges resting by solid amber lights so I changed both.
When I restarted, an amber light appeared very briefly near the paper feed slot, then disappeared. The printer went into its warm up, as usual, but the “i” light is now flashing amber. I’ve reseated the ink cartridges, reset the printer (remove power cord from the back, remove the other end from the socket, let sit for 1 minute, then plug back in.) Still the same flashing amber problem. I then did a reset (ink carriage door open , press both the Wi-Fi and Power buttons for 5 seconds). And still the same problem of flashing amber “i” light.
The “resume” arrow button is solid green and when I pressed it a Printer Information page printed.

And now the front bar light near the base of the printer is solid white/amber.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Excellent description and a great diagnosis. It is greatly appreciated.

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, then the printer needs to be checked for hardware.
