HP 63 XL ink on HP ENVY 4520 printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 63XL Tri-color ink cartridge (most full) on my HP ENVY 4520 printer. It works normally for the past few months (I seldomly use printing) but today it shows an error message said: " The indicated cartridge is not intended for use in this printer" then I switched to an old HP 63 cartridge, and it works. These two cartridges are identical. What is wrong? Will HP replace the defective cartridge?

@RockwellCollin2, Welcome to HP Support Community!

As per the issue description, this seems like a cartridge issue. I'd recommend you check the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge to ensure you followed the necessary troubleshooting steps.

If the issue persists, HP will replace the ink cartridge. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region for the same. I shall share the contact details via private message. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps!
