I have been using the HP Twain Administration app to do my scanning on my OfficeJet 3830.  It has stopped working.  I get error message saying that it is not compatible with 64 bit system--but it was!  I'm guessing there was some update that messed this up as the same thing has happened to Scan Doctor.  The only way I can find to possibly reinstall the twain driver is to do a complete reset up of the printer.  I would like to just uninstall the Twain Administration and reinstall software that works with 64 bit system.  Where can I find the correct software?

Welcome to the HP Community

We do not have an option to download just the Twain driver, as the driver is included in the HP OfficeJet 3830 series Full Feature Software and Drivers.

I would suggest you uninstall and reinstall the printer driver

I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

Remove the USB if connected

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-3830-all-in-one-printer-series/7172321 to download and install the HP OfficeJet 3830 series Full Feature Software and Drivers.
