The majority of 49 errors are caused by older firmware that cannot understand commands embedded in a document. Your first step is to disconnect all usb and network connections and attempt to boot the printer. If it starts ok with no connections, then the next step is to clear the print spooler on your printer and then reattached the printer. If the queue is properly cleared then printer should not come to ready. Download the firmware from support.hp.com and install.
