hp deskjet 2544
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Despite changing to new cartridges, going through the help and following all the steps to include cleaning the heads, cartridges with distilled water, coffee filters, the printer is still advising incompatible ink and the ink is not registering.  I have used the scan doctor and the device status is the only thing that doesn't pass.  I have the blinking ink lights intermittently and it still doesn't print.

Your solutions and HP solutions did not work. Here is what I did: i un installed my printer.  Returned the ink cartridges and received replacement cartridges.  Input cartridges.  align etc... Reinstalled my printer.  All is now working.  My belief is that the cartridges were defective.

Thanks for the input, this is exactly what I used to try and solve the problem,  i repeated these steps twice.  No success.

If the printer is under warranty call HP. Otherwise service the printer like it says, or the printer is toast.

Ah then the HP web site was correct for you to change the cartridges. Great, glad it's working.
