Product: HP ENVY 5542
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My HP ENVY 5542 will not print onto photo paper. It feeds correctly and acts like it is printing, but the paper always comes out blank. Printing onto regular paper is fine.

@htuck, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I would recommend you follow the steps from the document HP DeskJet, ENVY, OfficeJet Printers - Cannot Print From Photo Tray to resolve the issue.

 

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.
