hp envy 5640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to print a photo from Windows 10 operating sys.  I have loaded HP 4x6 photo paper in the photo tray.  When I load the photo and select "Print"  the 4x6 photo paper size is never displayed as an option for printing, so the Envy will not print.

After this fail, I logged onto Snapfish print from that location.  I have tried selecting Snapfish to print from windows.  Again, the HP 4x6 glossy paper option is not displayed as a print option.

This is the paper that came with the printer.

How do I print a photo from a Windows 10 laptop.

Everything else on the Envy is so easy to use except photo printing.

Please give me the path to the proper settings.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the envy printer isn't printing a 4x6 photo paper,

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help resolve this concern,

Here's a YouTube video that tells you how to print a photo: Click here
(HP doesn't own this video, please ignore any ads as I've only shared link going beyond my way to help you out).

 Here's what worked:

For the 5640, the selection of the proper paper and paper size is not entirely presented on the printer's screen.  The user must, however, select the paper size and the paper type in their Windows 10 software once "Print" is selected. Once that's done, hit "Print" in your software, you're done.
