Paper tray is full and printer says it is out of paper.

I understand how frustrating that can be. Let's try a few steps to fix it.

 

Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the error persists.

Reload Paper:

  • Remove all the paper from the tray and inspect for any stuck or curled sheets.
  • Load a small stack of fresh paper and ensure it's aligned properly.
  • Adjust the paper guides to fit snugly without bending the sheets.

Factory Reset (if needed):

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons on the printer until the power light starts blinking.
  • Release the buttons and wait for the printer to restart.
  • Once it powers back on, try printing again.

Call center sale assistant answers are not working in 99% of the cases but they still insist to switch off an on again.

My toddler can do the same fault finding, stop handle customers like they are dumb.

 

The printer knows there are papers, hardware cannot be mistaken. Cleaning paper tray and rollers does not have any connection with the paper sensor. Open up a printer and have a look yourselves dear customer representatives.

 

Click print, software popup "out of paper" with the button cancel job.

The printer knows there are paper and print the document anyway. Printer is smart, software is not.

Software realise the document is printed already (ohh, i might be mistaken, i am just a code), and the popup disappear, but the out of paper warning is still there (seriously? we just printed a document).

 

Can the software developer people check out the MacOS code please?

Obviously the software and the printer is not communicating each other properly
