Hi,

I have HP lasterjet p2055d printer. I am able to use it with Linux system, but it give me the following error when I do print using my macbook pro Mac OS Catlina version 10.15.7.

"used black cartridge in use"

Any idea what is happening.

I removed the hp folder in Computer > Macintosh HD (Usually) > Library > Printers. and then i added the printer driver again from the system preference / printers & scanners and then it worked smoothly.

I forget to say that beside that error one i see on my hp printer screen, i was having another error message on mac "“hpPostProcessing.bundle” will damage your computer. This file was downloaded on an unkown date. "

The printer has detected the chip on the cartridge as previously used. Should not prevent use.

Thanks, so any idea why this problem only happens with the mac os system and not with the Linux system? Also not sure how can I solve this issue.

Not sure of a fix, but likely it does not happen on linux because it is not using SNMP to monitor the printer.
