Hi @Nitin224,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP LaserJet 126a printer has continuously flashing green and orange lights, it typically indicates a hardware or communication issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Check the Cartridge:

  • Ensure the toner cartridge is properly installed.
  • Remove the toner cartridge and check for any packaging materials or obstructions.
  • Reinstall the toner cartridge correctly.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open all accessible areas of the printer and remove any jammed paper.
  • Check the paper path, including the input and output trays.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15-30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Inspect the Fuser:

  • The fuser might be the issue if the printer is not initializing. Open the printer's rear door and check the fuser for any visible signs of damage or obstruction.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Check the HP support website for any available firmware updates for your model.

Check for Overheating:

  • If the printer has been used extensively, it might be overheating. Let it cool down for a few minutes and then try again.

Reset to Factory Defaults:

  • As a last resort, you can reset the printer to its factory settings. This might resolve any configuration issues:
    • Press the Setup button (looks like a wrench or gear icon).
    • Navigate to Service or Restore Defaults using the arrow buttons.
    • Select Restore Defaults and confirm.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may indicate a more serious hardware problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
