On the link you provided it does not say anything about if it will work on wireless.  My HP office jet pro 8610 is hooked up wireless?

You never want to update firmware wirelessly.  Always connect your USB cable and update the firmware.  Then go back to wireless.

Because if you loose your wireless connection during the update, your printer will become a brick.  Now you just throw it away.

I encountered the same problem for my 8600 Pro inkjet.  I am not going to buy the HP original as they are expensive and they are used up quickly since I am printing lecture notes. I can't afford those expensive originals!!   Would like to know if you have any solutions to your printer not accepting remanufactured ink 2 years on.  Otherwise, I would have to throw away my printer and get a Brother.
