That's it for the printer to not loose connectivity.

Run the printer software to install it.

Have you tried to check if there is an issue with the wifi access point>?

perhaps restart it or update its firmware

How would I do that? Wouldn't that effect my browser also or internet connection?

Hello,

Lets try setting the printer with a Static IP that should resolve the issue. Perform the below steps to do so.

-type in the printer's ip in address bar of your browser ( Internet explorer or firefox or chrome ), which would display printer inforamtion.

click on Network Menu ,
click Network on Left, of the window.
click on Network Address (IP), the info will be displayed on the right side.

- by default the selection will be on Automatic IP.

- click on Manual IP and then type in the following..
printer's ip address in "Manual IP address"
subnet mask using the printed report in "Manual Subnet Mask"
default gateway using printer report in "Manual Default Gateway"

Now click Apply. Wait untill the settigns are applied.

-After which, power Off the Printer.
-Restart the PC.
-Power On the printer.

Hopefully the issue should be resolved.

Regards,
Jabzi

HP Recommended

You will see images of how you change this in the printer's web page - kinda looks like the router's but it's in the printer.  Sorry Jabzi didn't mean to type over you.

Please where do I find the printers ip address on the (network config. page)?

language found (Printers’ embedded web servers (EWS) differ slightly.  It is often suggested setting an IP for the printer that is outside of the DHCP range.  This is defined by your type of router.  Search the internet or support sites for the DHCP range of your wireless router).

Somewhat confusing to me.

Can you pop into the tools on the printer's menu and go to Network Configuration page and print it then half way down look on that page for IPv4 IP address like 192.168.x.x and type that number into the web address.

If it's not connected you will see 0.0.0.0 or x.x.x.x and you may have to use the wizard in the printer's tools to connect it again before you can proceed with this step.
