I know its an old printer. I have this photosmart A717 and it won't read my 32GB SD Card whats up with that? ANY SOLUTIONS

You are talking an ancient device which ONLY supports FAT 32 card 2GB max here.  But you can work around

Memory cards with a capacity greater than 2 GB
Memory cards with a capacity greater than 2 GB are not currently supported. Either of the workarounds below should work.
  • Download the images from the camera to a computer.
  • Print directly to the printer using the Direct Print (EXIF) or PictBridge ports on the printer.
Causes
Formatting a memory card in Windows XP will cause it to be formatted to FAT 32 which is unreadable by Photosmart printers.
Memory cards larger than 2 GB are not supported with Photosmart printers.

It is up to you. I don't print photos at home because papers and inks are too expensive.
