Recently, my windows 11 PC is not able to print to an HP Officejet 7740. Print jobs are received (printer mechanical movement starts) but then quickly after the printer movement, print job auto-stops or is auto cancelled and deleted from printer queue.  No error message on PC or printer.  No paper feed is started from the tray.

 

The issue is one PC specific.  Another PC (same make/model/config) prints just fine.  iPhone prints fine.  HP Printer makes copies fine. 

 

This issue is not app or doc specific.  Printing a .pdf from HP smart also fails. 

Printing to a pdf printer (like MS Print to pdf) that creates a .pdf file works fine.

 

On problem PC, printer was deleted and re-installed (twice).  HP Smart was deleted and re-added.  No help.  

HP Smart fix utility did not help. 

HP doctor did not help.    

And of course PC and printer were power-reset a few times.

 

What else to try?

Update: PC can also print to EPSON 2800 printer with no issues.  Print spooler is confirmed to be active. So problem remains on one PC that is not printing on HP 7740.  Is there an HP technical support phone number?  Chat was ineffective.
