Hi @Snowskis,
I'd like to help!
Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for the great tips and info. I did try all of the suggestions you offered but none of them resolved the problem. I kept getting the same error message. I finally contacted HP using their live chat support. The rep offered the same suggestions but nothing would resolve the issue. The rep said that HP would ship a refurbished printer in exchange for my printer (my printer was still under the one year warranty). It arrived yesterday and it is working fine with no problems. Kudos to all the folks who provide help through the HP Support Community. Much appreciated.
